Having created their first collection for Wal-Mart when they were 12, the Olsen twins (now 23) run a fashion empire worth an estimated $1 billion.

Their two new lines -- the Row, a collection of luxurious knits, and the trendier Elizabeth and James -- have earned Ashley (right) and Mary-Kate (left) spots on the Council of Fashion Designers of America.

Ashley spends her days poring over fabrics in the Garment District, but she always consults with her sister. "We love to collaborate, but we also divide and conquer," she says.
