2013 Ford Fusion
2013 Ford Fusion
The competition: Toyota Camry, 2012 Honda Accord, Nissan Altima (clockwise from upper right)

The suave second-generation Fusion is the most striking car yet produced by Alan Mulally's One Ford and builds on the reputation of its hugely successful predecessor. Like other Fords, it comes crammed with powertrain advances along with a carload of safety, entertainment, and convenience features. Look for Fusion to win points against the popular-but-unloved Camry and the old Accord, but it will need to fight hard against a reenergized Nissan and the fuel-sipping '13 Altima.

Advantage: Fusion shares the 2013 spotlight with Altima
