Because Blu-Ray players are now being built into an increasing number of TVs or bundled as extras, the price of the individual unit is likely to continue lower this year.
"People are now getting them built in, or streaming movies and not getting discs, so they're going to be kind of obsolete," said Pinsker. "The same thing happened with VCRs: They began being bundled with TVs so the prices of the individual units kept dropping, dropping."
