Ax:son Johnson is the fourth generation of Johnsons to head the $11.5-billion-a-year international holding company. (Johnson herself is incredibly international: She was born in New York, her mother is Brazilian, and she's now based in Sweden.) Since 1982 the 65-year-old executive has navigated the privately held company, which has assets in everything from food retailing and department stores to energy, water, and real estate.
