This former lumber town features affordable homes a short drive from Grand Rapids.

Jenison is a village within Michigan's Township of Georgetown, where remnants of the 19th century timber boom can still be found. Its history as a farming settlement is also apparent in the lush green landscape.

Now, the village is home to an increasing number of families, and with four golf courses nearby, Jenison bears all the hallmarks of a growing suburban community. --B.R.
